Michalis received his M.Sc. degree in Signal Processing for Communications & Multimedia from the Department of Informatics & Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and B.Sc. degree in Informatics & Telecommunications from the Department of Informatics & Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in 2016 and 2012 respectively. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD degree in Computer Science in the Computer Science Department of the University of Crete under the supervision of Prof. Panagiotis Tsakalides. Since September 2016 he is affiliated with the Institute of Computer Science of the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH-ICS), Heraklion, Crete, as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Signal Processing Laboratory (SPL). His main research interests lie in the fields of Low-Rank Modeling, Deep Learning, and Tensor Decompositions & Factorizations for Big Data Signal Processing. Michalis is a Student Member of IEEE and IEEE Signal Processing Society.
